Sizeable drug bust in Banks County

HOMER - A million dollar drug bust in Banks County leaves a South Carolina man behind bars.

The arrest was made by the Banks County Sheriffs Office and the state patrol on Interstate 85.

According to Banks County Sheriff Charles Chapman they seized about 25 pounds of cocaine from the SUV Orbelin Luviano, 19, was driving, "Estimated street value of this is somewhere around $1.4 million."

Chapman says the vehicle had been stopped for a traffic violation. At last check, Luviano had not posted bail.
