Auburn suspends three players indefinitely

AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn linebackers Tray Blackmon and Kevin Sears and tailback Brad Lester were suspended indefinitely Friday for violation of team rules, coach Tommy Tuberville said.<br> <br> All three players will miss the 10th-ranked Tigers&#39; game against No. 22 Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl on New Year&#39;s Day.<br> <br> Blackmon and Sears had already served lengthy suspensions following alcohol-related arrests in the offseason.<br> <br> Blackmon, a redshirt freshman, was suspended for the first six games this season. The former Parade All-American still worked his way into the starting lineup for four games and finished with a season-high six tackles against Alabama.<br> <br> Lester is the Tigers&#39; No. 2 rusher with 510 yards, but also scored a team-high nine touchdowns.<br> <br> Sears, a senior, has 13 tackles. He also missed last year&#39;s bowl game as part of the earlier suspension and had to sit out the first three games this season.
