Flash flood watch

PEACHTREE CITY - Headed out to do some last minute shopping today? Well, you might want to take the rain gear.

Heavy rains are expected in Gainesville and across northeast Georgia today - and a flash flood watch has been posted for ten counties, mostly in the mountains. Up to two inches of rain is expected in many places, including the Gainesville area.

Counties included in the flash flood watch are Fannin, Gilmer, Towns, Union, Dawson, Lumpkin, White, Rabun, Habersham, and Stephens.

And, if you are wondering about the Christmas Day outlook? Looks like cloudy, mid 50s and a chance of rain again.
