White Co. officials sworn in

CLEVELAND - The oath of office was administered to the recently elected White County officials Thursday at the County Courthouse.

White County Election Superintendent Garrison Baker administered the oath to Joe Campbell, District One County Commission; Craig Bryant, District Two County Commission; Lamerle Edwards, District Two, Board of Education; Cliff Hood, District Three Board of Education.

Commissioner Campbell said he has some goals to implement and wants to look at ways to save the county money, "Some of the things we've had some problems with that we couldn't understand, some of the policies that have not been written will be written."

Hood, who has served on the board for several years, said he wants to use his experience to benefit the board and the county, "Hopefully my experience will help in the coming years as things get more complicated, and I really look forward to it."

Following the oath of office, Enotah Superior Court Judge David Barrett administered a Loyalty Oath to all the newly sworn-in candidates.
