CUMMING - Forsyth County will host two informational meetings for the public to express what they would like to see as the Parks and Recreation Department updates their recreation Master Plan.

County spokeswoman Jodi Gardner says the purpose of the plan is to provide a guideline to meet resident's present and future needs, "This is an opportunity for our residents to contribute their ideas and suggestions relative to improving the county's recreation system."

Issues that will likely be addressed are the type, number and location of future parks, facilities, open space and trails across Forsyth County.

The first meeting will be Thursday, November 16, at 7 p.m. at Sharon Springs Community Building. The second meeting will be held Thursday, November 30, at 7 p.m. at Coal Mountain Community Building.

In addition to attending these meetings, Forsyth County residents are also encouraged to visit the county's web site to complete an online survey.
