<p>Tory Cooper caught a 10-yard touchdown pass and ran eight yards for another score as the Citadel defeated Georgia Southern 24-21 in Southern Conference action Saturday.</p><p>It's the first time the Bulldogs (3-5, 3-2 SoCon) have beat Georgia Southern (3-5, 2-3) since 2003.</p><p>The Bulldogs never gave up its lead after scoring early in the first quarter on a 10-yard pass from Duran Lawson to Cooper. Lawson completed 18 of 27 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns for the Citadel. Cooper finished with 24 carries for 71 yards and four catches for 21 yards.</p><p>The Eagles fought back late in the fourth quarter, cutting the Bulldogs lead to 24-21 on an 85-yard pass from Travis Clark to Jayson Foster with 6:11 yards left in the game.</p><p>Foster finished with three catches for 114 yards while Clark was 13-of-32 for 220 yards.</p>
