CLEMSON, S.C. - Clemson receiver Chansi Stuckey broke his foot in Tuesday's practice and will likely be out for three to five weeks, the school said.
Stuckey broke the foot while making a cut. He will have surgery Wednesday, athletic officials said.
The senior has caught 25 passes for 331 yards and three touchdowns so far this year and was named a first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference receiver last season after leading the league with 64 catches.
Stuckey has caught 116 passes for 1,391 yards in his Clemson career.
Coach Tommy Bowden said losing Stuckey for at least a month will hurt.
``Chansi was having a terrific season,'' Bowden said. ``He is such a talented player on the field, he has had so many momentum changing plays this year.''
Stuckey's broken foot is the latest in a long line of injuries for the Tigers.
Linebacker Anthony Waters is out for the season after tearing a ligament in his knee. Starting linebacker Tramaine Billie broke his foot in preseason practice and the team doesn't know if he will return this year. And starting safety Michael Hamlin broke a foot against Boston College on Sept. 9, but could return for a few snaps this Saturday against Wake Forest.
``I thought we were finished with these injuries,'' Bowden said.
