TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State finished its preparation Tuesday for this week's pivotal Atlantic Coast Conference game against North Carolina State.
``We have done all we can do (to prepare),'' coach Bobby Bowden said of Thursday's game.
A loss for the No. 19 Seminoles (3-1, 1-1 ACC) would all but eliminate its chances to repeat as ACC Champions, as it would drop the Seminoles two games behind Atlantic division leading Clemson (4-1, 2-1 ACC).
North Carolina State (2-2, 1-0 ACC) coach Chuck Amato has had more success against Bowden than any other coach in the ACC, aside from Miami's Larry Coker, posting a 3-3 record against the Seminoles since taking over at his alma mater in 2000.
Bowden downplayed the significance of facing off against Amato, who spent 18 years as an assistant at Florida State under him.

``Well, we are playing North Carolina State,'' Bowden said. ``It doesn't really make a difference who is on the other side.''
Florida State also announced on Tuesday that the team will wear special black uniforms in honor of the Seminole Tribe of Florida for its Oct. 21 ACC game against Boston College (4-1, 1-1 ACC).
