18-year-old questioned in fatal Buford shooting

BUFORD - Gwinnett County Police are questioning an 18-year-old in connection with Friday night's fatal shooting of a 28-year-old Buford man.

Officer Darren Moloney says the shooting happened at 475 Bona Road and Christopher Cunningham of Buford has told investigators he was involved.

"He told officials that he drew and hand gun and began firing. He says in self defense," Moloney said. "Mr. Cunningham relinquished the firearm that he used and we are basically comparing that with the projectiles from the victim and seeing what that tells us."

Killed in the shooting was Clifton Daniel of Buford. Julius Earls, 22, Buford was wounded.

Neither lived at the Bona Road address.
