Habersham team in Senior Little League World Series

BANGOR, MAINE - A team from Habersham County will represent Georgia in the Senior Little League World Series which begins Sunday in Bangor, Maine.

The Senior League World Series will feature five regional teams from the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Maine District 3 champion - the host district.

The Habersham team captured the U.S. South championship with a 5-2 win over Cottage Hill of Mobile, Ala., on Thursday in Toccoa.

Habersham's opening game will be played Monday at 10 a.m. against Hawaii.
