ATLANTA (AP) A song about Atlanta will be performed for the first time during halftime of the Atlanta Falcons-New York Jets game in October.
The song will be heard on ``Monday Night Football'' on October 24th.
Music producer Dallas Austin still is writing the song. The melody is part of the city's effort to lure more tourists, conventioneers and businesses to Atlanta.
Austin has produced music for celebrities including Madonna, Natalie Cole and Gwen Stefani.
The song might NOT be heard by the estimated 30 (m) million T-V viewers. A spokesman for A-B-C says the halftime show is televised only on rare occasions. Most of the time, the network switches to sports commentators, who discuss highlights and look at the prior week's game.
