CHICAGO (AP) Livan Hernandez tied a franchise record while pitching Washington to a 4-to-3 victory over the Cubs in Chicago.<br>

Hernandez boosted his record to 12-and-2 by winning his record-tying eleventh straight decision. He allowed three runs on ten hits over eight innings.<br>

Washington's Jose Guillen (gee-EHN') hit a solo homer, and catcher Brian Schneider was 3-for-5 with two doubles. Schneider also picked off the potential tying run at third base for the second out in the eighth inning.<br>

Cubs' starter Mark Prior took the loss, slipping to 5-and-2 after giving up three runs on six hits. He struck out seven and did not walk a batter in five innings.<br>
<br>
Derrek Lee homered and tripled. Jeromy Burnitz had two hits and an R-B-I, but he was the runner caught off third in the eighth.<br>
