LOS ANGELES (AP) Kwame Brown will try to resurrect his career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Agent Arn Tellem confirms that the top overall pick in the 2001 draft will be traded by Washington to the Lakers.<br>

It's believed the Wizards will get swingman Caron (kah-RAHN') Butler and guard Chucky Atkins in return.<br>

The 6-foot-11 Brown has been a major disappointment with Washington since becoming the first high school player to be the number one overall pick. He's averaged four-and-a-half points and three-and-a-half rebounds.<br>
<br>
His work habits got him in trouble earlier this year when the Wizards suspended him for most of the post-season after he missed a practice and game four of the playoff series with Chicago.<br>
