BOSTON - Al Leiter is returning to his original team.<br>

The New York Yankees have acquired the lefty from the Florida Marlins and will start him tomorrow night against the Boston Red Sox. Details of the trade are expected to be announced after today's game at Fenway Park.<br>

Leiter was designated for assignment by the Marlins after going 3-7 with a 6.64 ERA this season. He signed a one-year, $8 million contract last winter after seven seasons with the New York Mets.<br>

Leiter is 158-127 with a 3.76 ERA during his 19-season major league career.
