Fatal wreck on GA 369 in Forsyth County

CUMMING - The woman killed in a pick-up accident this morning is identified Debra Ann Roper, 40, Ball Ground.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Captain Frank Huggins said when Roper crashed on Highway 369 near Hendrix Road, she was not wearing a seat belt .

"She was partially pinned under the truck, one of the witnesses was a nurse and administered CPR." Huggins said. "All of their efforts were in vane. Miss Roper was transported to Northside Forsyth Hospital where she later died."

Huggins said in a pick-up, driving without a seat belt is not against the law.

"Though drivers and passengers in trucks are not required to wear seat belts, they always should." He added.

Roper was the only person in the truck.
