Burress suffers knee injury in Giants' first practice

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) Wide receiver Plaxico Burress was taken off the field during the New York Giants&#39; first practice session this morning with what coach Tom Coughlin described as a hyperextended knee.<br> <br> Burress was acquired as an unrestricted free agent from Pittsburgh in March. He signed a six-year, 25 (M) million dollar contract that included an eight million dollar signing bonus.<br> <br> The sixth-year pro was a first-round draft pick by the Steelers out of Michigan State.
