KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Tennessee will open the 2005 season with a regionally televised game against Alabama-Birmingham and two weeks later will meet Florida on CBS, the Volunteers announced Tuesday.<br>

Tennessee will play UAB on Sept. 3 in Knoxville. Jefferson-Pilot Sports will broadcast the game, with kickoff at 12:30 p.m. EDT.<br>

On Sept. 17, the Volunteers travel to Gainesville for an 8 p.m. EDT kickoff against Florida in a contest CBS will broadcast nationally.<br>

The third Tennessee game being televised under the Southeastern Conference football package will be the previously announced Nov. 5 contest against Notre Dame at South Bend. NBC will air the game, beginning at 2:30 p.m. EST.<br>
