Lady Elephants tune up for state

GAINESVILLE - The two-time defending Class AAA state champion Gainesville girls golf team used a tune-up Tuesday for next week&#39;s state tournament at Chattahoochee Golf Course.<br> <br> The Lady Elephants shot a 79 to beat Westminster by nine strokes in a dual match.<br> <br> Defending state indivdual AAA champ Lauren Darnell shot a 35 to take the low medal honors. Kate Norton shot a 44 for Gainesville.<br> <br> Coach Manson Hill said it was a nice way to get ready for next week&#39;s state tournament, which will feature six of the state&#39;s top 10 girls golfers.
