TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Ryne Malone's three-run walkoff home run with two out in the ninth inning lifted Florida State to its ninth straight win, 6-5 over North Carolina on Saturday.<br>

Taking a 5-3 lead into the ninth, North Carolina's Jonathan Hovis (5-4) got a pair of infield groundouts to open the inning.<br>

But Tony Thomas Jr. and Shane Robinson singled to extend the inning, and Malone's sixth homer of the year won it for the Seminoles (45-14, 17-9 Atlantic Coast Conference).<br>

Malone finished 3-for-5 with five RBIs for Florida State. Kevin Lynch (9-0) pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with the win.<br>

Jay Cox had a two-run double in the first inning and Josh Horton finished with two hits for the Tar Heels (37-13-1, 15-8-1).<br>

Malone's two-run triple in the third inning pulled Florida State into an early 2-2 tie, and the Seminoles took the lead one batter later on Gibbs Chapman's single.<br>

North Carolina re-claimed the lead in the fourth, when Justin Webb had an RBI groundout and Reid Fronk followed with a run-scoring single. The Tar Heels extended their lead to 5-3 in the seventh when Chase Younts doubled and eventually scored on a throwing error.<br>
