CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) Drew Davis drove in three runs Wednesday to help Elon beat North Carolina 10-3, handing the Tar Heels their first home loss of the season.<br>

Four starters had two hits each for the Phoenix (18-14), who took advantage of three errors to score six runs in the fifth inning to take control. The win snapped a school-record 22-0 home start for the Tar Heels (24-6), who had won nine straight overall.<br>

Elon led 2-1 before putting six runs on the board in the fifth. Evan Erickson and Garry Morris each had run-scoring doubles, while Davis added an RBI single in the inning.<br>

Lance Cole (3-1) earned the win, allowing two runs on six hits over five innings.<br>
<br>
Andy Gale (1-1) took the loss, allowing five runs three earned on five hits in 4 1-3 innings.<br>

Seth Williams drove in two runs to lead North Carolina.<br>
