NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Luke Hochevar gave up just one earned run and struck out six as the Vols scored five runs in the seventh to defeat Vanderbilt 8-4 on Friday night.<br>

Hochevar (9-2) gave up three runs, two of which came as part of four errors by Tennessee. He left after pitching seven and two-thirds innings and scattering eight hits. Sean Watson pitched the rest of the game for his third save this season.<br>

Michael Rivera went 3-for-5 for the Volunteers (28-10, 10-5 Southeastern Conference), and J.P. Arencibia and Eric King drove in two runs each.<br>

Jensen Lewis (6-2) took the loss for the Commodores (25-12, 7-9) despite getting three hits from Dominic De La Osa. Vanderbilt stranded 11 baserunners.<br>
