Miami holds off Seminoles

CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA - Paco Figueroa had three hits, including a home run, and three Miami pitchers limited Florida State to four hits in a 5-2 win by the Hurricanes on Saturday night.<br> <br> Brandon Camardese (5-0) went six innings for Miami (31-9-1, 15-4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), allowing four hits and two runs while striking out five. Andrew Lane tossed two hitless innings, and Chris Perez pitched the ninth inning for his third save.<br> <br> The Hurricanes made it 5-2 in the seventh inning, scoring two runs on a fielder&#39;s choice and a throwing error by Florida State (34-13, 9-8).<br> <br> A solo home run in the sixth inning by the Seminoles&#39; Daniel Wardell narrowed Miami&#39;s lead to 3-2.<br> <br> John Jay&#39;s groundout in the third inning scored Danny Figueroa to give Miami a 2-1 lead.<br> <br> Paco Figueroa&#39;s solo homer gave Miami a 1-0 lead in the first inning.<br> <br> Barret Browning (3-2) took the loss for the Seminoles, allowing five runs, four earned, in six innings.<br> <br> Shane Robinson had two hits for Florida State.
