GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville man was arrested Monday night in connection with last week's armed robbery of the Super 8 Motel on Dorsey Street in Gainesville.
David Lee Townsend, 44, of Gainesville was taken without incident.
"Interviews with witnesses led us to Mr. Townsend," Gainesville Police Lt. Chad White said.
No one was injured in the robbery, which occurred last Thursday night.
Lt. White said Townsend was charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault.
