Terrell County knocks off newcomer Hebron Christian

MACON - Tanae Davis had 27 points and had 11 rebounds to lead the Terrell County girls to a 53-40 win over Hebron Christian in the GHSA Class A semifinals Wednesdayh night.<br> <br> Terrell County will play Calhoun County, a 61-43 winner over Lakeview Academy, in the championship game Saturday. Both teams compete in Region 1-AA and split during the regular season.<br> <br> Davis, a 5-foot-10 Florida State signee, helped the No. 2-ranked Greenwave (24-1) hold off Hebron with seven points in the final period. Monshay Thomas added 13 points and six rebounds and Shankel Allen scored 11.<br> <br> No. 8 Hebron (26-4) was led by Rebekah Cohen, who had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Meredith Montgomery added 13 points.<br> <br> Terrell County also reached the championship game last year, losing to Wesleyan in the Class AA final. Hebron is finishing its first season in the GHSA after moving up from the Georgia Christian Athletic Association.
