MACON - Wesleyan withstood a fourth-quarter surge from Dade County for a 48-37 win Saturday in the Georgia High School Association's Class AA girls championship at the Macon Coliseum.<br>

The win gives the Wolves back-to-back championships and state titles in three of the last four seasons. They finished the season 31-2, losing only to Class AAAAA champion Collins Hill and in an upset to East Hall in the Region 8-AA tournament.<br>

Wesleyan led by as many as ten in the second half, but Dade County battled back to get within a point with 6:37 left. Wesleyan then responded with eight straight points and forced Dade to foul almost every possession over the last four minutes.<br>

No. 2 Two Wesleyan (31-2) was led by reserve Le Le LeSeur with 15 points and Laura Luckhurst and Carolyn Whitney with eight each.<br>

No. 3 Dade County (28-4) got 21 points from junior point guard Ashley Houts.
