MACON - Dunwoody came back from an 11-point third-quarter deficit to beat Troup 67-61 and win the Georgia High School Associations Class AAA boys championship Saturday night at the Macon Coliseum.<br>

The No. 1-ranked Wildcats (27-5) earned the school's first state championship since 1995. No. 4 Troup (27-2) failed to win its first state championship.<br>

``I'm so proud of this team,'' said Dunwoody coach Scott Bracco. ``They overcame a lot of obstacles and they're true winners.''<br>
<br>
Troup made eight 3-pointers, including one by Tristan Delaney that gave Troup a 46-35 lead with 5:24 left in the third quarter. But Dunwoody got back in the game by penetrating to the basket and had cut the lead to 49-48 at the end of the third quarter.<br>

Dunwoody tied the game 49-49 on a free throw by DAndre Bryant, then grabbed the lead on a basket by AnJuan Wilderness. The game was tied on three other occasions before Dunwoody took the lead for good when Darius Johnson followed Kris Thomass missed field goal with a putback to make it 57-56. From that point Dunwoody hit only 6 of 11 free throws, but it was enough free throws to hold on.<br>

Troup was led by Delaney, who scored 18 and made four 3-pointers, and Tobias Bruce, who scored 10 and had six rebounds.<br>

Dunwoody placed four players in double figures: Wilderness with 18, Kierre Jordan and Thomas with 14 each, and Johnson with 10.
