DULUTH - Louis Williams scored 30 points, grabbed five rebounds and had three steals to lead South Gwinnett an 88-70 victory over Arlington Country Day of Jacksonville, Fla., Thursday night.<br>

Williams, rated the second-best player in the nation by Rivals.com, scored 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting in the first half of the game, televised nationally on ESPN2. He started the game with an alley-oop reverse layup, then followed with a two-hand slam off a steal.<br>

After the 6-foot-1 Williams dominated the first half, Mike Mercer took over in the second. Mercer, ranked the No. 4 guard, scored 14 of his 19 points in the second half. Delano Howard added 17 points.<br>

The Comets (22-2) took a 25-point lead in the fourth quarter on a Mercer reverse dunk.<br>
<br>
Williams and Mercer have committed to Georgia.<br>

The Apaches fell to 20-3.<br>
