BLUE RIDGE - In the boys Region 7-AAA Tournament consolation game, the White County Warriors led by Adam Cash defeated the Flowery Branch Falcons in double overtime to finish third in the region.
Cash put up 37 points for the Warriors including the winning basket in final seconds of the game to beat the Falcons 69-67.
White Counties defense got going in the fourth quarter, holding Flowery Branch to only 8 points in the quarter to force the game into overtime.
In the first overtime period, Colbey Newton made a layup in the final seconds to give the Falcons a 65-63 lead.
But the Warrior's Jeremy Palmer made a layup at the buzzer to force it to the second overtime.
In the second overtime White Counties Adam Cash scored with 10 seconds left to give the Warriors a 69-67 lead. The Falcons had one last chance, but Isiah Cross was unable to make the basket.
The Falcon's Zac Swansey sat out most of the second half and both overtime periods injured.
Top scorers for the Warriors were Adam Cash with 37 and Chase Thomas had 9 points.
The Leading scorers for Flowery Branch were Isiah Cross and Colbey Newton with 16 points apiece.
