Zoller on Top 100 talk show list

UNDATED - WDUN's Martha Zoller has been named to the Talkers Magazine 2005 list of the "100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts in America."

Also known as the "Heavy Hundred," the list is compiled each year with input from industry leaders, according to the magazine.

Talkers says this is one of the most challenging tasks it undertakes each year, considering that there are about 4,000 talk show hosts across the country - "ranging from national icons to those laboring in obscurity."

The magazine says the goal of the list is to "create a list reflective of the industry's diversity and total flavor." The factors that are considered are: ratings, longevity, uniqueness, potential, social impact, service, industry recognition, recognition by other media, courage, effort and talent.

Zoller is described as a "multi-talented conservative (who) writes, does talk TV and her popular radio show."

The Martha Zoller Show is broadcast weekdays 9:05 a.m.-11:35 a.m. on WDUN NEWS TALK 550, which, like accessnorthga.com, is owned by Jacobs Media.
