KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) Seattle has released Jerry Rice, which may signal the end of the 42-year-old receiving great's career.
The Seahawks picked up Rice from the Raiders last season, but he posted the lowest totals of his 20-year career other than in 1997, when he was injured for most of the season. Rice had 30 catches for 429 yards last season.
After the Seahawks were eliminated in the playoffs, Rice indicated he'd still like to play.
