Cincinnati beats Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Designated hitter Logan Parker got a three-run home run in the fifth inning to lead Cincinnati to a 5-2 victory over Wake Forest on Sunday.<br> <br> The Bearcats (4-5) were leading 2-1 when Wake Forest starter Matt Hammond walked the first two batters in the fifth inning, then struck out the next two. He got two strikes on Parker before the batter hit the home run down the right-field line.<br> <br> Wake Forest got one run in the bottom of the eighth on Ben Ingolds&#39; RBI ground out, but the Demon Deacons (4-7) could muster no more offense.<br> <br> Bryan Wood, the Bearcats&#39; second pitcher of the day, took the win, allowing one earned run on a pair of hits in 3.2 innings pitched. Josh Kay pitched a scoreless 1.1 innings to pick up the save.<br> <br> Hammond took the loss, allowing five earned runs on six hits in 5.0 innings pitched.
