Teacher resigns after alleged relationship with student

<p>A high school math teacher accused of having sex with a 17-year-old boy has resigned, administrators said.</p><p>Amira Sa'Di, 30, resigned after being charged with sexual assault by Clayton County Police, said school spokesman Charles White.</p><p>The boy told police he began the sexual encounters with Sa'Di after she began tutoring one of his friends.</p><p>Authorities were tipped off to the relationship after the boy's mother found a five-page love letter signed "Amira" at the bottom, police said.</p><p>Sa'Di told authorities she didn't think anything was wrong with her relationship because the teenager was 17. In Georgia, the age of consent is 16.</p><p>But Sa'Di was charged with assault because the teenager was in her custody at the time of the alleged relationship.</p><p>She's the second county school employee to be dismissed this fall for sex-related charges.</p><p>In October, a former bus driver was arrested after a child sex sting operation.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x1cd98ac)</p>
