Cavs suspend four for unspecified infractions

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) Starting safety Tony Franklin, one of four Virginia captains, and three other players were suspended for a violation of team policy and will miss Saturday&#39;s critical game against No. 24 Georgia Tech, the school said Thursday.<br> <br> Franklin, a junior who has started 26 games for Virginia (5-3, 2-3 Atlantic Coast Conference), will sit out the game along with nose tackle Kwakou Robinson, reserve wide receiver Ottowa Anderson and reserve defensive end Vince Redd.<br> <br> Robinson was listed as a starter earlier in the week.<br> <br> The Cavaliers&#39; game against the Yellow Jackets (6-2, 4-2) is the first of three more opportunities for Virginia to get its sixth victory and qualify for a bowl game.<br> <br> They also host No. 8 Virginia Tech next weekend, then travel to No. 3 Miami for the final game of the regular season on Nov. 26.<br> <br> Coach Al Groh on Wednesday acknowledged that there was an internal investigation under way, but did not reveal the nature of the infractions that may have occurred.<br> <br> Groh was scheduled to have a regularly scheduled teleconference later Thursday.<br> <br> (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press.
