Six-week dry spell broken

GAINESVILLE - A six-week dry spell was broken in Gainesville earlier this week with more than 1.50 inches of rain at the AccessNorthGa.com Weather Center.

That's the most for a two-day period since October 6-7 when almost 3 inches fell.

Since that time and until this week only small amounts of rain had fallen.
