Hall judge to receive award from state bar

GAINESVILLE - A Hall County judge has been selected to receive the 6th Annual Justice Benham Community Service Award.

Superior Court Judge Kathlene Gosselin will be recognized for her work in organizing H-E-L-P Court (Health-Empowerment-Linkage-Possibilities)Court, a state pilot program which seeks ways to divert non-violent mentally ill people from jail.

The award recognizes judges and lawyers who have combined a professional career with outstanding community service through
voluntary participation at a number of levels.

Judge Gosselin will be presented with the award January 13 at the Midyear Meeting of the State Bar of Georgia.
