Two hearings scheduled for dentist in Gwinnett County

LAWRENCEVILLE - The Dacula dentist accused of murder in the death of his wife at their Buford home is expected to be brought back to Gwinnett County next week for court appearances.<br> <br> Thursday, Superior Court Judge Michael Clark ordered Barton Corbin to be present for an arraignment January 31 to formally enter a plea in the death of his wife, Jennifer Corbin, whose body was found December 4 at their home in Buford.<br> <br> Corbin also has been ordered to be at a hearing next Friday that will address the decision by Superior Court Judge Melodie Snell Conner to step down from the case. The judge did NOT give a reason for her decision.<br> <br> But in court papers Wednesday, Conner said she voluntarily recused herself because she took evidence on the case and granted an investigative warrant before a grand jury indicted Corbin on January 5.<br> <br> Corbin has been jailed in Augusta since December 22 when he was charged in the 1990 death of a former dental school girlfriend, Dolly Hearn.<br>
