Local DOT appraiser retires, another gets promotion

GAINESVILLE - One Gainesville man retires after a long career with the state Department of Transportation and another gets a promotion.<br> <br> Bobby Lawson, a Review Appraiser for the department, is retiring after nearly 35 years with D.O.T. <br> <br> And, Hubert Gibbs has been named Roadside Enhancement Coordinator for the D.OT. office in Gainesville. <br> <br> Gibbs will oversee the department that works to keep state roads in 21 counties free of debris and will coordinate D.O.T.&#39;s Adopt-a-Mile and Wildflower programs in those counties.
