MACON, Ga. (AP) Boyd Copeland scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help Georgia State to a 65-60 win over Mercer on Friday night.<br>

The Panthers (9-11, 6-6 Atlantic Sun Conference) took their largest lead at 11 with nine minutes left.<br>

The Bears (10-7, 6-5) rallied and cut the lead to 63-60 with 16 seconds left. But Herman Favors, who had 13 points, hit two free throws to put the game away.<br>

Marcus Brown had 18 points for Georgia State.<br>

Will Emerson led the Bears with 20 points and 13 rebounds. James Odums had 15 points and Jacob Skogen added 13. Damitrius Coleman had nine assists.
