UNDATED - The surprising Pickens County football team remains unbeaten and in first place in Region 7-AAA following an impressive 35-6 win over White County Saturday night.
The Dragons (4-1, 4-0 in region) will put their four-game win streak on the line Friday night at home against Johnson.
Class AAA tenth-ranked North Hall (4-0, 3-0 in region) is second in the region and will travel to Fannin County Friday night.
In the gavsv.com power ratings in Class AAA, North Hall is second in the state behind unbeaten McNair. Hart County is seventh in the power ratings and Gainesville is 18th.
Gainesville is third and Johnson is fourth in the region at the halfway point. All 10 region teams play each other this week for the first time this season.
