Miss America 1999 coming to Gainesville in October

GAINESVILLE - A former Miss America will be speaking at Brenau University in early October.

Nicole Johnson, who was Miss America in 1999, will be speaking at Pierce Auditorium October 11th on living with diabetes.

Her discussion "Living a Happy and Fulfilling Life Despite Diabetes," is sponsored by Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Georgia Power and the Mu Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity at Brenau University.

After Johnson speaks, a panel of physicians will open the floor for questions.
