(Potomac, Maryland-AP) -- Adam Scott fired a 9-under-par 62 to grab the second-round lead at the P-G-A's Booz Allen Classic in Maryland.<br>

Scott's 14-under total sets a record for the lowest 36-hole score in tournament history, two shots better than Fred Funk in 1998.<br>

Glen Day also fired a 62 today and had a shot at breaking the tournament record for lowest round, set a day ago by Charles Howell the third. But Day finished par-bogey-par to go nine under on the day.<br>
<br>
Howell and Olin Browne are tied for second at 12-under, one shot ahead of Day and Rich Beem.<br>
