<p>The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia's largest newspaper, is buying the state's largest Spanish-language paper, Mundo Hispanico.</p><p>With a weekly circulation of 55,000, Mundo Hispanico is owned by Lino Dominguez, who will remain as publisher and editor, the Journal-Constitution reported Saturday.</p><p>Tony De Feria, the Journal-Constitution's director of consumer marketing, will be executive vice president of the weekly. The newspaper declined to reveal how much it is paying for Mundo Hispanico.</p><p>"After 20-some years, you need to have a way out in a small business," said Dominguez, 58, who bought the rights to the newspaper's name in 1982 from Atlanta's Latin American Association after stepping down as the association's executive director.</p><p>Dominguez, a native of Panama, has lived in Atlanta for almost 30 years.</p><p>The Journal-Constitution's parent company, Cox Enterprises, also owns WSB-TV and controls the parent company of several local radio stations, including WSB-AM. Cox also holds a 25 percent interest in Creative Loafing, an alternative newspaper.</p><p>Roger Kintzel, senior publisher of Cox Newspapers, said the Journal-Constitution considered starting its own Spanish-language paper, as other major newspapers have done, but decided to buy an established publication.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x2866410)</p>
