ATLANTA - Landmark Christian basketball star Randolph Morris will play for the Kentucky Wildcats.

The seven-foot Morris spurned a scholarship offer from hometown Georgia Tech to join with fellow Kentucky signees Rajon Rondo and Joe Crawford, two of his teammates from the McDonald's All-American game.

As a senior at Landmark Christian, Morris averaged 25 points, 16 rebounds and 4.5 blocks. He considered entering the NBA draft.

Morris heard he ``possibly'' would be taken in the first round of the draft, and without the safety net of a guaranteed contract that comes with that selection, the decision was between the Wildcats and the Yellow Jackets.
Morris wouldn't commit to more than one year at Kentucky, although he said he planned to eventually get his college degree.
