High school phenom Dwight Howard entering NBA draft

<p>High school basketball phenom Dwight Howard said Wednesday he will enter his name in the NBA draft.</p><p>Howard, 18, a senior at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, said he had made his decision before the past season, but wanted to keep it a secret so he could enjoy his senior year.</p><p>He said he is projected to be picked in the top four picks. The Atlanta Hawks will be among those teams with a chance to pick him.</p><p>"If it worked out that I could play for the Hawks, that would be great," Howard said. "But I just want to play and be happy wherever I go. It doesn't matter."</p><p>He made his announcement at his high school gym.</p><p>Howard, a 6-foot-10 forward, averaged 25 points, 18 rebounds and eight blocked shots to lead his team to the Class A state championship this past season.</p>
