CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Lou Santangelo had a solo home run in the 10th inning to help Clemson beat North Carolina 4-2 on Sunday.<br>

Andy D'Alessio also had an RBI single in the 10th for the Tigers (22-14, 8-4 Atlantic Coast Conference), who finished with nine hits. Steven Jackson (2-1) worked 1 2/3 scoreless innings for the victory.<br>

Marshall Hubbard went 3-for-4 with an RBI for North Carolina (27-10, 9-6), which left 12 runners on base. The loss wasted a solid effort from starter Andrew Miller, who allowed two runs in 6 1/3 innings.<br>

Santangelo also had an RBI groundout in the fifth inning to get Clemson a 2-1 lead. But North Carolina's Bryan Steed had an RBI double in the eighth to tie the game at 2-2.<br>

D'Alessio and Travis Storrer both finished with two hits for the Tigers.<br>

The Tar Heels committed five errors.
