Cumming woman named to Lake Lanier Islands Authority

ATLANTA - The newest member of the Lake Lanier Islands Authority is a woman from Cumming.<br>

Joni Owens serves as President and CEO of the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce. She was named to the authority by Governor Perdue.<br>
<br>
The governor has also appointed another area resident to another state board. <br>
<br>
Bette Rose Bowers of Commerce, a consultant for an Arizona developer, will serve on the state Commission on Women.
