BLUE RIDGE - Justin Kendall drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning to propel the Flowery Branch baseball team to a 5-4 win over Fannin County Tuesday night.<br>

It was the third straight Region 7-AAA win for the Falcons (10-12, 7-9) who are still alive for a playoff spot with four games left.<br>

Freshman Zac Swansey, who had three hits and three RBI, started the game strong for the Falcons hitting the first pitch of the game for a home run.<br>
<br>
Fannin responded with three runs in the first inning and held that lead until Flowery Branch scored one run in the third and two in the fourth to take the lead.<br>
<br>
The Rebels tied the game in the bottom of the sixth.<br>
<br>
D.J. Duden, who lost several tough, one-run games this year, went the distance for Flowery Branch to earn the win.<br>
<br>
Duden also had two hits.
