GAINESVILLE - For the second straight year the Riverside Military Academy baseball team was knocked out of the Georgia Independent School Association Class AAA playoffs at home.

This time, Augusta Christian won the first two games in a best-of-three series - 6-4 in Game 1 in nine innings and 10-6 in Game 2 - to get the second round sweep.

Last year they were swept at home in the opening round.

The Eagles (21-7) had their chances in Game 1 with the game tied and loading the bases. But Riverside could not get the big hit to score the winning run.

In the second game Augusta scored five runs each in the fourth and sixth innings to erase a 4-0 Riverside lead.

Tyler Stubblefield had three hits and Adam Thompson two for Riverside in the Game 1 loss. No stats were available for Game 2.
