Birmingham Southern 7, Georgia 6

<p>Birmingham Southern took advantage of a walk, two infield singles and two errors to score three runs in the ninth inning and edge Georgia 7-6 on Sunday.</p><p>Michael Cline started the winning rally with a walk before Matt Bogue and Conner Robertson followed with infield singles. First baseman Josh Morris error enabled Cline to score on the Robertson hit.</p><p>Bogue then scored when Mac Godwin hit into a fielders choice and Robertson added the tie-breaking when second baseman Marshall Szabos error enabled Jared Walker to reach.</p><p>Joey Side had three hits and drove in a run for the Bulldogs (7-2) and Jason Jacobs had two RBI.</p><p>Both teams had 12-hit attacks. Jonathan Sanford led BSU with three hits, including one double.</p><p>The victory went to Robertson, who moved from first to record the final five outs. Reliever Bo Lanier took the loss, coming in in the ninth after Bogues single.</p>
