<p>Aquila Inc. said Monday it has completed the sale of 12 power plants to Teton Power Funding.</p><p>The power plants _ in California, Florida, Georgia, Maine, New York, Washington and Jamaica _ are part of Aquila's residual energy trading business. The Kansas City-based energy company announced in 2002 that it would exit that business and return to its roots as a domestic utility.</p><p>Aquila received about $257 million for the plants from Teton Power, an affiliate of Boston-based ArcLight Capital Partners LLC.</p><p>Aquila provides electricity and natural gas to customers in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Michigan and Canada.
